About this site: Roughly 57,000 pediatricians belong to this prestigious academy, and their collective expertise makes the organization’s Web site a valuable resource. Much of this site is geared toward doctors, but parents can find information on topics ranging from immunizations to monkey pox to diaper rash. Most of the practical information for parents can be found in the "You and Your Family" section. (http://www.aap.org/family/)  Pluses: With a little digging, you can find clear, credible advice on just about every childhood health topic.  Minuses: The "Parent Resource Guide" is just a list of AAP publications for sale.  Best feature: A link to the AAP's Childhood Immunization Support Program, which addresses every conceivable question and concern about this controversial topic. |
