An estimated 50 million American men over the age of 18 are bald or balding, making methods of replacing, regrowing, or disguising lost hair a $1.5 billion-a-year industry. Pills, lotions, shampoos, surgery, hairpieces, even spray-on "hair in a can" products are available, and although there's still plenty of snake oil out there, some drugs and surgical techniques offer new hope to the follicularly challenged.
